Anna Webb

Anna “Betty” Webb, 94, of Coloma, MI passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Woodland Terrace in Coloma. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Tom Bird officiating. Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Anna will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or the North Berrien Senior Center. Betty was born on December 16, 1924 in Aurora, IL to Arthur Stanley &Mary Leah (Ebener) Auler. She was a class of 1942 graduate of La Salle-Peru High School in Peru, IL. She went on to attend Evanston School of Nursing where she received her Bachelor’s degree as a registered nurse. Betty then taught nursing students at the college. On November 5, 1949 she wed Thomas Webb in Peru, IL. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Three Rivers for many years before moving to Coloma. There she was involved in numerous activities such as playing the organ, Sunday school and bible study groups. Betty was a skilled pianist and often accompanied students for solo and ensemble concerts. She enjoyed taking care of the neighborhood cats and animals. Betty is survived by her children, Julia (Scott Deaner) Webb of Benton Harbor, Anna Tucker of Missoula, MT and Karl (Christine) Webb of Green Springs, OH; grandchildren, Whitney Tucker, Derek Tucker, Sarah Webb, Leah Webb, Rebecca (Robert) Bean and Matthew Webb; sister Dona Griffith of Argyle, TX; brother-in-law Graham Ferris of Peru, IL., several nieces and nephews and beloved caretaker Jennifer Deaner. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Thomas on September 29, 2012, daughter Sarah Webb Brown in 1993, sister Lila Ferris, son-in-law David Tucker, and brother-in-law James Griffith.
