Barbara Bailey

Barbara Bailey, 84, of Stevensville, MI passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd., Stevensville with Rev. David Hills officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, at the Church. Memorials may be made to Stevensville United Methodist Church or the Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to share a memory of Barbara online may do so at www.stark-menchinger.com Barbara was born July 8, 1934 in Benton Harbor, MI to Don & Celia (Eckhardt) Hewitt. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1952. On October 26, 1952 she married Willard Bailey in Benton Harbor. They were married for 66 years. Barbara worked for Kmart for 17 years in sales and also helped watch and raise many children over the years. Barbara has been a member of Stevensville United Methodist Church since 1962 and helped with many activities. She loved her family, friends, her church, and the Lord Jesus Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the organ, sewing, bowling, and family gatherings. Barbara is survived by her husband Willard Bailey; children Christina (Tom) Polando, Victoria Crippin, Greg Bailey, Karen Jordan and Ken (Andrea) Bailey; 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, son Tim Bailey and siblings Lucile Long, Donna Ettinger, Walter Hewitt, Bette Hewitt and Doris Molter.
