Christine Marie Wright

With her family by her side, Christine Marie Wright, age 71, of Stevensville, MI passed away after courageously battling cancer on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI.  A Gathering celebrating Christine’s life will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to share a memory of Christine online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Christine was born July 6, 1947 in Benton Harbor, MI to Leslie & Virginia (Johnson) Dillard. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1965. Christine worked for Superior Property Management for over 25 years where she still was working full time. She loved her job and was a very dedicated employee. She also had worked for Canteen Company. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, grilling and watching television shows. She loved spending time with her family and playing games and laughing. Most of all her pride and joy was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  Christine will be dearly missed by her daughters Melissa Wright and Michele Wright; grandchildren Cooper Brinkman and Maggie Oertel; best friend and sister Linda (Dan) Smykowski and sister Betty Adair; step-siblings Don (Claudia) Wright, Chip (Artie) Smith, Anna (Don) Wilson, Karen (Carl) Eichner and Barb (Tony) Erwin. Christine was preceded in death by her parents.
