Joe Lippert

Joe Lippert, 63, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, MI. A private family committal service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Joe was born on January 24, 1955, to Wendell and Maria (Witsch) Lippert in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in 1973. Joe then went on to DeVry University to receive his Associates Degree. He then moved to Calilfornia and worked for Loral Space and Communications, Inc., formerly Ford Aerospace and retired after twenty years of service. Joe enjoyed Chicago sports, especially the Bears and Cubs. He loved fishing, especially on his favorite lake in California, Chester Lake. The family would like to extend a special thanks to  his many friends who supported him all these years. Joe is survived by his mother, Maria Lippert; brother, Lawrence (Margaret) Lippert; sister, Mary (Ronald) Klemm and nieces & nephews, Alexa and Jacob Klemm, Kayla and Samantha Reichert. He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Lippert.
