Leona Kibler, 89, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 East Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor, with Father Robert Creagan officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 4 PM until 6 PM, with the rosary being recited at 6 PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Leona was born on July 13, 1929 in North Dakota to Frank & Anna Mueller. She married Donald Kibler on February 3, 1951. They shared 44 loving years together until he preceded her in death in August of 1995. Leona had many interests, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Leona is survived by her children, Fred Kibler, Charmaine (John Campbell) Kibler, Linda (Tom Harrington) Kibler-Harrington, Tom (Maria) Kibler, and Mickey (Kathy) Kibler; grandchildren, Nate (Kristin) Harrington, Jack Harrington, Allie (Mateo Chinchilla) Kibler-Campbell, and Kayleigh, Quinn, Melanie and Chloe Kibler; great-grandchildren, Stella and Remy Chinchilla and Blakely Harrington; many nieces & nephews; and her loyal dog, Annie.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Anna; husband, Donald; sister, LaVerne (Charles) Ageeb; and brother, Francis (Mary) Mueller.
