Alan Edward Stone

Alan Edward Stone, 70, of Decatur, MI passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchiner Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Alan was born on August 21, 1947 in Cadillac, MI to the late Alford and Arlene (Caldwell) Stone. He served his country during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Navy. On June 20, 1997 in Lake Tahoe, CA he married Sheryl Kay Brown. Alan owned and operated Beverage Logistics in Lawrence, MI. He was an avid outdoorsman – especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Alan loved to spend time with his family, he will be dearly missed. Alan is survived by his wife – Sheryl Stone; his children – Brian (Melanie) Pierce of Midland, MI and Melissa (Thad) Skowronski of Lawrence, MI; grandchildren – Logan, Broderick, Maxwell, Josephine, Vivian, Ethan and Olivia; and sister – Sandy. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister-Eileen. Private family services will be held celebrating Alan’s life. His wishes were that everyone enjoy a day fishing in his memory.
