Stanely Boyin Williams

Mr. Stanley Boyin Williams was born April 14, 1940, in Diamond Village, Trinidad, West Indies, to Berresford and Gladys George Williams. Stanley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, June 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Karen Williams, parents Beresford and Gladys George Williams; brothers, Lenroy Williams and Franklin Williams; and sisters Grace Roberts and Mrytle Williams. Stanley was a member of the Anglican faith. Stanley was survived by his daughter Judy (Lawrence) Charles; granddaughter Larissa Charles of Stafford, TX; brothers, Leroy (Betty) Williams of Pickering, Ontario, CA; Roy (Patricia) Williams of Boston, MA; Carrol Williams of St. Albert, Alberta, CA and Claudio, Mississauga, Ontario, CA. He leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his loss. Stanley’s career as a pipefitter/welder started as a young man in Leeds, England. He migrated to Toronto, CA where he worked with Union Local 46 for many years. When he came to the United States he continued his career with Union Local 513 & 357 merger unions where he worked until retirement Stanley was nationally known for his invented and patented Weld Alignment Device and several other patents. He was a master welder and was always proud of his certifications. Stanley loved to travel and was a true entrepreneur. His latest business initiative was designing and marketing shell cufflinks. He enjoyed working with children and often mentored young men by teaching work ethics and the importance of striving for excellence. Stanley loved to cook and often entertained his guest by serving foods from his native country of Trinidad. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 1PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Bishop James Hightower officiating.
