Renée's Obituary
Renée Ann O’Neill, 80, formerly of Flossmoor, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and care team at Stately Living in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was born February 15, 1938 in Chicago, to Bernice and Joseph Cudzillo. Her Father, Joseph, died in her childhood and her mother remarried, Walter Bachorz, who later adopted Renée. She married John “Jack” O’Neill on June 30, 1962.
Surviving are her husband, Jack, children, Ann (Bryan) Foster, John (Lisa) O’Neill, Chris (Sue) O’Neill, Renée (Ryan) Kelly, Jeanette (Mark) Postelli; grandchildren, Tom and Jack Foster, Kitty, Billy, and Kevin O’Neill, Peggy and Danny O’Neill, Tyler, Trevor, John and Elizabeth Kelly, Morgan, Meghan, and Helen Postelli.
Her biological father Joseph, adopted father Walter, mother Bernice and daughter Renée O’Neill all preceded her in death.
Renée was a longtime resident of Flossmoor. She graduated with a bachelor degree in education from Chicago Teacher’s College in 1962. She worked for the Chicago Public School system until beginning her career as a homemaker.
She loved to bird watch, golf, play tennis, and was a true sports enthusiast. Most of all, she was an amazing wife and incredible mother and grandmother, never missing a moment to be with her children.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 1131 Douglas Ave., Flossmoor, IL.
