Helen Beatrice Gray

Helen B. Gray, 89, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center- Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremations Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Brother Albert Adams officiating. A private burial will take place at a later time. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Helen was born on November 9, 1928, in Hannibal, Missouri to Wallace & Nellie (Teall) White. Helen was incredible at crocheting, she would be able to replicate just about any design from a single photo. She also was an avid doll collector, a proud member of The Church in Benton Harbor, and taking her near daily trips to the Harbor House. Helen is survived by her children, James Gray, Linda (Randy) Mittkitt, Julie Hatton, and John Gray; four grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Marjorie Vaughn, Wallace White, Charlotte Hoffman, John T. White, and Donald White. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Betty Hoffman, JoAnn Singell and Patricia White.
