Doraine “DD” Wade, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Hanson Hospice Center – Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7 PM at Lakeshore Christian Church, 5565 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating. Those wishing to visit with the family may do so from 6 PM until the time of the service at the church. A private burial will take place at a later date. DD was born on September 21, 1936 in Okeene, OK, to Adam & Louise (Schlotthaur) Osmus. She graduated from Watonga High School in OK. After moving to Southwest, MI, DD began her career as a Personal Banker for Chemical Bank, retiring after more than 25 years of service. DD was a proud member of Lakeshore Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School and baked pies for birthday, anniversaries or other special occasions for fellow members. DD was an avid volunteer for the Lakeland Hospital Gift Shop. She also loved knitting and watching musicals; her favorite being ‘The Sound of Music’. She was an incredible lady with a kind and generous heart, she always put God first and her children and grandchildren second. DD will be missed dearly by all.
DD is survived by her children, Adam (Lori) Wade of St. Joseph and Mark (Connie) Wade of Stevensville; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Wood, Aaron (Amber) Wade, Kaitlyn Wade, and Nicholas Wade; great-grandchildren, Riley Daughtery, and Amelia & Dexter Wood; twin brother, Duane (Sandra) Osmus; and sister, Irma Robinson.
DD was preceded in death by her parents Adam & Louise; and siblings, Amelia Ford, Vivian Wiederstien, Vernon Osmus, Lucille Alston, and Glen Osmus.
