Cortez Lamont Miller, 21, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018. A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held at 11am on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Second Baptist Church, 600 Donald Adkins Dr., Benton Harbor, with Rev. Roy C. Askew Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 10am until the time of service at the church. Cortez was born on September 5, 1996 to Earline Young and Brian Miller in Benton Harbor. He was 7 pounds and 15 oz at birth. Cortez was a rise up at full gospel and out spoken person. He attended Dream Academy. Cortez enjoyed listening to music and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a person of courage. Cortez has a baby girl just been born the loving memory of him will always be in are hearts as we continued this journey. Cortez is survived by his parents, Earline Young and Brian Miller; step mother, Regina Johnson; daughter Chloie Kortez Dior Miller; siblings, Tracy Miller, Brian J. Miller, Shayla Miller, Tynisha Miller, Kayla Crafton, Nyishia Walker, Angel and Skylesha Miller and step siblings, Cortney Johnson, Christapher Johnson, Justin Doss; grandmother Peggy Young and ; grandfather O.C.Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins and friends. Cortez was joined in death by his step-brother Michael Johnson; grandmother Lois Miller; grandfather Fred Pryor; and great-grandmother Lissie Mae Nelson.
