Rosemary Delores Wendt, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Royalton Manor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Joseph Catholic Schools. Those wishing to send a condolence or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Rosemary was born on March 7, 1926, in Kingsford, MI to Joseph and Rose (Thibault) Carrier. She graduated from Kingsford High School and went on to become a Registered Nurse through Little Company of Mary in Chicago. On March 14, 1948, she married Wilbur Wendt in Benton Harbor. Rosemary worked at Memorial/Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph for 26 years before retiring. Rosemary is survived by her children, Nancy Blocker of Lowell, AR, Michael Wendt of St. Joseph, David (Linda) Wendt of Stevensville, Rosanne (Dick Stroud) Hostetler of Berrien Center, Jeff (Melissa) Wendt of Baroda, Valerie (Mike) Shleper of Greenville, WI, Rita (Chris) Mitchell of Palm Bay, FL and Steven (Lisa) Wendt of Kalamazoo; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose; husband of 57 years, Wilbur; son, Bruce Wendt and siblings, Eileen Stevens, Norma Inglese, Rita Wright, Theresa Bryan and Joseph Carrier.
