Donald Konow

Donald Konow Sr., formally of St. Joseph, MI passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in Henderson, NV.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 A.M., Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph with Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., with prayers recited at 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. After high school, Don served his country in the United States Army from 1948 until he was honorably discharged in 1952. Don was the manager for Sears for 38 years before retiring. Upon retirement he continued to work for ACE Hardware for over 10 years.  Don is survived by his children Gloria (James) Vodicka, Debra Schmitt, Donald (Roxanne O’Brien) Jr. Konow, Ronald (Cynthia) Konow, Denise (Dave) Konow-Powers, Mark (Jeannie) Ciciora, Dawn Ciciora-Haddad, Adam (June) Konow and Joli (Dustin) Smith; 22 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; and son-in-law Richard Gorski. Don was preceded in death by his parents, wives Jacqueline Williams and Bernadette Lazarski, daughter Elizabeth Gorski, many brothers and sisters and son-in-law Edward Schmitt.
