Loretta Krieger

Loretta Krieger, 81, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.  A Mass will be Celebrated 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor with Fr. Ben Huynh officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 5, 2018 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with the Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. She graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School in 1954. Loretta worked as a legal secretary for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at St. John and Bernard’s Parish and St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center.  Loretta is survived by her son Edward Krieger; daughters Julie Taylor, Karen (Michael) Garrison, and Beverly (David) Robbins; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters Sara Hassle, Rosalie Wright, and Barbara O’Rourke; and brother Philip (Patricia) Damico. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Loretta Ann Krieger and grandson Jeremy Plachta.
