Judy's Obituary

Judith “Judy” Darlene Lausman, 72, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2018 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or The Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Those wishing to share a memory of Judy online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Judy was born September 6, 1945 to Reinhold & Emma (Schmidt) Lick in St. Joseph, she was an original ‘Sand Rabbit’. On September 12, 1973 she married Ken Lausman in St. Joseph. Judy worked at Hughes Plastics for over 20 years on the assembly line before retiring and was the VP of Sunset Grinding. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casino. Judy was a Detroit Tigers Fan & a Denver Broncos Fan. She was a member of the American Legion Post 305 and the Moose Lodge in Benton Harbor.  Judy is survived by her loving husband Ken Lausman; son Ty Lausman; sisters, Beverly Garcia and Elaine Walker; brother Harold Lick; several nieces and nephews; Goddaughters Rhonda Russell and Heather Russell; and her loving dogs Bear “Big Boy” and Baby Girl “BG”.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia Varney, Diana Parker, Delores Drakopulos, Caroline Hetfield, Vivian Smith, Betty Ann Lick and brother Duane Lick.
