William Tommie Atkins

Bill Atkins, 77, of Stevensville, passed away, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.  Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, St. Joseph. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, Class of 1957.  Bill spent his entire working career of forty-plus years at Cast-Matics in Stevensville, retiring as manager.  He was a life-member of FOP Lodge #96 in St. Joseph, and a member of Blossomland Assist-Operation Care.  In his free time, Bill enjoyed Science Fiction books & movies, watching Star Trek, and taking immaculate care of his automobiles.  He will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Bill is survived by two sons-Rob (Tesha) Atkins & Tommy Atkins, both of Stevensville; four grandchildren-Deryk, Devyn, Sandy & Anna Atkins; and his brother Scott Brink, of Stevensville. Bill was preceded in death by his father William Atkins, his mother Frances Bertweit, and step-fathers-Clayton Brink & Robert Bertweit.
