Linda Lou Taube

Linda Lou Taube, 76, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph with her family by her side. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 5-7 PM at Starks and Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, class of 1960. On June 25, 1960 she married the love of her life, Harold Taube. She retired from LECO Corporation after 25 years of service. Linda loved animals and history, especially military history. She was active in donating to the Humane Society and to the Veterans. Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold; grandchildren, Matthew Brockway, Katie (Anthony) Metz and Emily Schmeling; brother, Robert “Bob” (Mary) Sliter and her beloved dog, Abby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Gladys Sliter; daughters, Kris Taube and Diana Brockway; three brothers and three sisters.
