Carol Green

Carol (Nancy Carolyn) Green, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at North Shore Memory Gardens. She worked as the Berrien County Blood Coordinator for American Red Cross, and a Phlebotomist at CBC Laboratories. Carol also owned Balloon Heaven & Weddings Two with her daughter, from which she retired. She enjoyed reading, knitting, going to the beach and was a great cook. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family and hosting holidays at her home. Carol is survived by her daughter, Linda Schemenauer of Stevensville; son, David (Becky Slater) Green of Lawrence; grandchildren, Michael (Kelly) Schemenauer, Matthew (Julie) Schemenauer, Jonathon Green, Courtney “C.J.” (Ashley) Myers, Tyler (Tiffany) Green and Sydnie Green; great-grandchildren, Lisa (Dustin) Lehman, Cole Schemenauer, Reid Schemenauer, Lillian Green, Ryan Green Carson Green, Calli Green, Amelia Green, Olivia Myers and Madalein Myers along with special family friend David Eglinsdoerfer. She was preceded in death by her parents; Carl and Lorraine (Matlock) Westmoreland; brothers, Donald and William; sister, Martha Larsh and son-in-law, Everett Schemenauer.
