Dorothy Bennett, 94, of St. Joseph, formerly of Elmwood, IL, died Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Saron Lutheran Church, 510 Main St., St. Joseph, MI. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 PM CST on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood, IL. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hanson Hospice Center or the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center. Dorothy was the daughter of Frank and Emma Mohn of Peoria, IL. She married Elmer Bennett in 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer Bennett, step-son, Elmer Bennett Jr., and sister, Kathryn Gilles.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Rebecca Nelson, Gloria (Bob) Hopkins; step-daughter, Bonnie (John) Brewer; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
