Jerold Scoma, Jr., 53, of Stevensville, MI passed away at home on Friday, October 27, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Jerold was born August 2, 1964 in Benton Harbor, MI to Jerold, Sr. and Nancy (Sells) Scoma. Jerold was a graduate of Lakeshore High School in 1982. On September 22, 1984 he married June Jackson. He started working at AEP/Cook Plant in 1990 until he no longer could in February of this year. He loved to cook and brew beer for family and friends; he coached little league baseball and girls softball; he enjoyed music, movies and his motorcycle; and was an avid Ohio State and Dallas Cowboy fan. Jerold will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife June; his beloved daughter AJ (Fiancée Cody Huston) of Hartford; his mother and father Jerold, Sr. and Nancy Scoma of St. Joseph; sisters Carrie (Doug) Conner and Jodi (Matthew) Thompson both of Stevensville; his mother-in-law Marilyn “Jo” (LeRoy) Pinkston of Sawyer; brother-in-law Jeffry (Sabra) Jackson of Ft. Wayne; and many nephews and nieces. Jerold is preceded in death by brother-in-law James Jackson, II.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 10:00 A.M., at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home. Visitation is on Monday, October 30, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service.
