Robert Retz

Robert “Bob” Retz, 72, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Richard Kiser officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1964. Bob served his country in the United States Navy. On June 26, 1982 he married Amelia Selter in St. Joseph. He worked for New Products until his retirement in 2010 after 43 years of service. In his spare time he loved traveling especially to Niagara Falls and Northern Michigan.  Bob is survived by his wife, Amelia Retz; children Wanda (Gregory) Campbell, Robert (Jill) Retz, and Rachel Retz; five grandchildren Sean Calmes, David Calmes, Alyssa (Justin) Tine, Caisey Calmes, and Chloe Wagner; sister Nancy (David) Hipskind; nephews Kevin Hipskind and Neal (Danielle) Hipskind; two great nieces and a great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Alvin Calmes.
