Charles's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Worthington, 83, died on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland.
Chuck was born on September 12, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Chester and Ferrol Worthington.
Chuck was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of University of Washington, and Captain in the United States Air Force. He was a marketing advertising executive, having served as President of The Netedu Company and President of NW Indiana Marketing Services. In retirement, Chuck was a board member of both the local and state Michigan American Red Cross.
He and his surviving wife, Nancy, were married July 4, 1957 and were partners in a caring, loving marriage of over 60 years. They had three children: John (deceased at age 20), David, and Laura.
In addition to his wife Nancy, Chuck is survived by son, David Worthington, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jeff Clymer; two grandchildren John and Stephanie Clymer; two sisters, Joan (Jim) Baxter and Lynn (Lee) Hornack; sister-in-law, Laura (Ted) Kuball; and eight nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held on October 9, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Dr. Chuck Guerreno officiating.
