Gerald Fraser

Gerald Anthony “Gerry” Fraser, 87, of Benton Harbor passed awaySeptember22, 2017 at his home.  Gerry was born April 29, 1930 in Blackpool, England to Henry and Muriel (Bullen) Fraser. He had a wanderlust for travel which eventually led him to New York City, where he met the love of his life. On December 28, 1963 he married Maria Cecilia “Maureen” Vitoria, and they shared 52 years of marriage. Gerry worked for Clark Equipment for 25 years in sales. He had a passion for reading, a knack for learning languages, and enjoyed spending time with his family, a pipe of Three Nuns tobacco and a pint of Guiness.  Gerry is survived by his five children, Sean (Mia) Fraser, Neil (Renee) Fraser, Sheelah Fraser, Megan (Kevin) McLoughlin, Liam (Melizza) Fraser, fourteen grandchildren, sister Georgina Griffiths, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maureen Fraser and son Kevin E. Fraser.  Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Chirch, 555 E. Deleware Ave., Benton Harbor with Fr. Ben Huynh officiating. Memorials may be made to Lake Michigan Catholic Schools.
