Joan Marilyn Kraklau

Joan Marilyn Kraklau, 74, of St. Joseph, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 02, 2017, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Friends may visit with her family from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Joan was born on February 12, 1943, to Harvey & Irene (Davis) Hanson in Chicago, IL. She attended Paw Paw High School and continued her education at Western Michigan University. On December 11, 1964, she married David Kraklau Sr. in Kalamazoo, MI. Joan enjoyed collecting antiques and was active in the Quester Club. She had a passion for traveling and boating on Lake Michigan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Joan is survived by her children, David (Shayleen) Kraklau Jr. MD of St. Joseph, Kelly (Keith) Kraklau Bosker of Park Ridge, IL, John (Sandra) Kraklau of St. Joseph and Kerry (Bradford) Campbell of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Amelie & Freya Kraklau, Mamata “M” Bosker, Jacob & Alexa Kraklau, and Ella, Alexandra & William Campbell; Sister Barbara (William) Meek; brother-in-law Frank Hanson; and extended family and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband David Kraklau Sr.; and sister Gail Hanson.
