Dennis C Puckett

Dennis C. Puckett, 67, of Stevensville, MI, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, St. Joseph.  Dennis was born on January 29, 1950 in Benton Harbor, MI to Carl and Imogene (Grier) Puckett. He was a graduate of Lakeshore High School. Dennis proudly served his country during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Army. On November 20, 1971 in Benton Harbor he married Janice Reynolds. Dennis was an electronics engineer for 31 years at Hewlett-Packard, retiring in 2010. He loved yardwork/landscaping and his many collections of clock’s (over 200 in his home), old radio’s, and M&M  dispenser’s. But Dennis was most proud of his family and loved spending time with them.  He is survived by his wife of over 45 years Janice; his children – Brian (Wafa) Puckett of New Orleans, LA and Mindy (James) Smith of Groton, CT; four grandchildren – Madison, Danica, Adam and Zachary; his mother – Imogene Puckett of Lawrence, MI; sister – Carla Puckett of Lawrence, MI; and a brother – David (Susan) Puckett of St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Dennis’s Life will take place on Tuesday, September 5, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Visitation is from 5:30-6:30 P.M. with Prayer and Military Honors to follow at 6:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
