Francis Pribyl

Francis “Frank” J. Pribyl, 91, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully, on July 4, 2017.  Frank was born in Lakefield, Minnesota on 10-14-1925 to Frank and Veronica (Pietsch) Pribyl – the youngest of 6 children. Upon graduation from Lakefield High School, he served on the USS Nevada (BB36) from 1943 -1946 and, returning stateside, he married his life-long love and companion, Marianne Kluender. They relocated to the SW Michigan area, and had 3 children of their own. Frank enjoyed a long and satisfying career with Whirlpool Corporation, retiring in 1985 as VP of Administration. Frank also served a term as Mayor of Baroda, MI and enjoyed manicuring his lawn, tinkering with cars, and traveling the U.S. with his wife.  Frank is survived by his children Kathryn Schmitt of Kalamazoo, Jeffery Pribyl of Baroda and Gregory Pribyl of Bridgman; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law. Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marian Louise (Kluender) Pribyl, his parents and 5 siblings.  Private Services will be held to lay him to rest alongside Marian at Hickory Bluff Cemetery.
