Janie Aroney

Janie Aroney, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Stevensville and Hudsonville, passed away, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.  A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held with family and friends at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Lincoln Charter Township Cemetery, 5055 St. Joseph Ave, Stevensville. She graduated from Taylor Center High School in Taylor, Michigan and from the Harper Hospital Nursing Program in Detroit, Michigan.  On August 27, 1965, she married Dennis A. Aroney in Taylor, Michigan.  Janie was employed as an RN at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph for many years.  She was also a skating instructor for several years at Lakeshore Roller World and she led worship dance at area churches in Holland and Grand Rapids.  Out of the love she had for the Lord and dancing, Janie founded His Worship Ministry.  In her free time, she loved to garden, photograph her world, and ride horses.    Janie is survived by two daughters-Kimberly (Craig) Smith of Georgia, Cheri (David) Fulmer of Oklahoma; three grandchildren-Ashley & Justin Smith & Jonathan Fulmer; and six nephews & their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her parents-Evelyn & Cook Wilkinson, and her brother Michael Wilkinson.
