Mary Clark

Mary Clark, 92, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11 AM at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5-8 PM also at the funeral home. The daughter of Hungarian immigrants, Mary grew up on a farm in the thumb area of Michigan. On May 26, 1951 she married Gerald Clark, they had three children. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed serving others at home and through her church. She attended the Blue Roof Church in St. Joseph and Overflow Church in Benton Harbor. Mary is survived by her children, Dr. Paul (Mechthild) Clark, Ruth Clark and Robert Clark; sisters, Irene Mogroyos, Helen Abela; grandchildren, Stephanie (Peter) Morach, Michael (Laura) Clark, Angela (Michael) Fenlon, Lisa (John) Johnson, Kristen (Andrew) Bachman and Holly (Charles) Musick and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Ledia; brother, Elmer Kandas and sisters, Betty Rickett, Julia Brown and Theresa Kocsis.
