Shirley A. Baptist

Shirley A. Baptist, 82, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at her home. A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate Shirley’s life. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. On January 4, 1955 Shirley married the love of her life, George Baptist in Washington DC. They had three boys together. She was a child care provider in her home for several decades. Shirley was a master crocheter and avid reader. She loved doing puzzles, gardening and was a huge movie buff. Most of all she loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by her husband, George Baptist; children, Robert Dean (Barb) Baptist of Benton Harbor, Michael Raymond Baptist of Minneapolis, MN and Richard James Baptist of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Tracy (Michael) Keenan, Sean Baptist, Ben Baptist, Zach Rickel, Alex Rickel, Michael Ryan Baptist , Matthew Baptist, Rebecca Baptist, Peter James Baptist, Alyssa Baptist, and great-grandson, Maxwell Keenan. She was preceded in death by her parents.
