Deatra “Dee Dee” Hathcock, 72, of Stevensville, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, Lakeland Regional Medical Center – St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. Burial will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville at a later date. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until the time of service Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dee Dee was born September 29, 1944, in Berrien Center, MI to Glen & Bertha (Schingledecker) Arter. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1962. On April 23, 1965 Dee Dee married the love of her life, Ronald Hathcock in Eau Claire. She was always a hard worker and worked for Eagle Technologies as a Buyer for many years before retirement. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Dee Dee is survived by her husband Ronald Hathcock; nieces and nephew, Cindy (Greg) Mahler of St. Joseph, Susan (David) Puckett of St. Joseph, Bruce (Pat) Arter of Stevensville and Vicki (Marty) Paquette of Niles; great-nieces and nephews, Gretchen (Jason) Ensink of Wyoming, MI, Eric Mahler of St. Joseph, Ali (Ben) Isbrecht of Stevensville and Brett Arter of Stevensville, Christopher Paquette of Niles and Alex Paquette of Niles; sister, Betty (Chris) Krziza of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Richard “Rick” Hathcock.
