Robert's Obituary
Robert Roscoe Rutz, 103, of Jackson, MI (formerly of Benton Harbor) passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Aaron Chittick officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Robert was born October 27, 1913 in Benton Harbor, MI to Otto J. and Henrietta (Kreiger) Rutz. On June 6, 1936 he married the love of his life, Doris Withey.
A commercial artist by trade, Robert was also an avid bike-rider. What brought him the greatest joy, however, was his faith and his family.
Robert is survived by his son, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
