John R. Farrish, 75, of Watervliet, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Royalton Manor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services with Pastor Larry Easton and Pastor David Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church. John was born on April 21, 1942 to the late Bill and Mina Farrish in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He graduated from Sault Ste. Marie High School. John spent most of his working life as an over the road truck Drive and also served his country in the Armed Forces. He enjoyed attending church on Sunday’s at Plymouth Congregational Church, Watervliet, where he was a member for several years. Every morning John would spend time with his friends in the community room, bragging about his grandkids. In the summer he would spend multiple weeks at a time visiting his brother, sister, nieces and nephews in Sault Ste. Marie. Most of all John loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their many sporting events.
John is survived by his son, Tim (Kim) Farrish; grandchildren, Courtney and Justin Farrish; sister, Wanda and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John; grandson, Trenton; brothers, Bill, Jim and Bob and sisters, Phyllis and Donna.
