Linda Lee Kraff

Linda L. Kraff, 70, of St. Joseph, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Private burial will take place at a later time. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Linda was born on July 15, 1946, to John and Margaret (Johnson) Snyder in Chicago, IL. She earned a Bachelors degree in French with a minor in Spanish at Albion College. She continued her education by earning a Master’s in Linguistics from the University of Michigan. On September 16, 1971, Linda married Robert Kraff in Stevensville. Linda was a teacher at multiple schools in the area but most recently taught foreign language for over 18 years at Great Lakes Montessori School. She was a member of the Child Watch program and the Parent Teacher Association. Linda loved to travel, but most of all, she enjoyed spending her time with her family. Linda is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Kraff of St. Joseph; children, Amy (Brad) Tennant of El Segundo, CA, David (Beth) Kraff of Grand Rapids, MI, and Jennifer (Ken) Best of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Angela Tennant, Danny Kraff, Connor Tennant and Jacob Best; and sisters, Barbara (Buzz) Brassfield of Portage, MI and Suzanne Powell of West Dundee, IL. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
