Edwin “Ed” E. Radtke, 96, of Stevensville, MI went to be with his Lord on Wednesday morning March 22, 2017 from Royalton Manor in St. Joseph to join his parents, loving wife Esther, brothers; Bill, Oscar, Irvin and their sister Helen around the throne of God. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor David Mitchell officiating. Burial to follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Military Rites will be provided by North Berrien Military Rites Team. Friends may visit at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Ed was born January 23, 1921 in Two Rivers, WI to Julius & Laura (Shobltz) Radtke. He was a skilled handyman and worked as a self-employed carpenter for over 40 years. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1946. On June 26, 1948 he married his wife of 61yrs. Esther Kugle of Baroda. He was a lifelong member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Ed enjoyed gardening, shopping, and taking Sunday drives with his family. Ed is survived by his sons, Ken Radtke of Stevensville, and Kevin Radtke of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Kaleb, Aaron, Sara and Kaitlyn Radtke and numerous nieces and nephews.
