Patrick W. Walsh, 77, of Benton Harbor passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center- St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware  Ave.,  Benton Harbor with Father Harold Potter officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Those wishing to sign Pat’s Memory Book may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com Patrick was born January 22, 1940 in St. Joseph, Michigan to William & Elizabeth (Hansen) Walsh. He was a graduate of St. John’s Catholic High School, Class of 1958. On July 16, 1960 he wed Maxine Rosenthal in Benton Harbor. Pat was the owner of Walsh Body Shop since 1958, which was founded by his Father, and Walsh Surplus also in Benton Harbor. Pat served as fire chief for St. Joseph Township Station #2.  He was a member of St. John/ Bernard Parish and a former member of the Road Baron’s Car Club.  Pat enjoyed showing his cars at shows. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Maxine; children Jeffery Walsh of Benton Harbor, Gina (Russell) Herman of Watervliet and Brenda (Dale) Wright of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Max Walsh, Dillon Herman, Bradley, Madelyn and Conner Wright; several nieces and nephews and his friends from Joe’s Café. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Ann Lolmough.
