Jeanne E. Katz, 93, of Stevensville, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, St. Joseph, with Pastor Greg Prather officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Online condolences may be shared at www.starks-menchinger.com  Jeanne was born on July 2, 1923 to the late Barbara and John Kissell in New Brunswick, NJ. On June 10, 1945 she married Robert Katz in Lancaster, PA. She served in the USO during WWII. Jeanne was an accomplished actress and professional singer, performing with Twin City Players, Paw Paw Lake Playhouse, Sister Lakes Playhouse, Whitcomb Hotel, Notty Pine in Watervliet and won multiple Oscars in various productions. Jeanne was the Co-Owner of United Sports Apparel in Stevensville. Her husband Robert played Professional Baseball (Pitcher) with the Cincinnati Reds, he passed away in 1962. Jeanne is survived by her children, Vicki Katz, Valerie (Joseph) Vieira and Robert (Kathy) Katz; grandchildren, Vanessa Vieira, Kaleena (Josh) Weakly and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Starner; great grandchildren, Zachary Stephens, Brendan Doyle, Jax Weakly, Austin Starner and one great granddaughter to be named later. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Shannon Stephens; sisters, Barbara and Helen and brother, Johnny.
