Eileen's Obituary
Eileen M. Negrilla, 100, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, Janaury 26, 2017 also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home. Eileen was born on June 17, 1916 in Chicago, IL. On March 27, 1937 she married Louis Negrilla at a ceremony in New Buffalo, MI. Eileen worked as a service manager for Jewel Food Store Company of Benton Harbor, MI for many years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Elk’s. Eileen loved being with her loved ones and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and could be counted on to get a card game going. She was well known for her apple pies and delicious meals. Her hobbies were crocheting, bowling, golfing, traveling, reading, playing cards and collecting elephant figurines. Eileen said her secret to longevity was hard work and having a sense of humor.
Eileen is survived by her children, Arlene (Rocco) Graziano, Robert (Mary) Negrilla and Sandra (Harvey, Jr.) Belter; grandchildren, Marcia Miller, Rachelle Wyble, Laura (Kevin) Maginn, Tim (Holly) Negrilla, Ann Marie (Chad) Shade, Susan (Scott) Perdue, Jacob (Heather) Belter and Sarah (Justin) Iwaniuk; great grandchildren, Michael Maginn, Sean Maginn, Christi Wyble, Rocco Wyble, Robert Negrilla, Cody Klassen, Dallis Klassen, Ellison Klassen, Preston Perdue, Savannah Perdue and Benjamin Iwaniuk and Eileen’s sister, Barbara LaMontagne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Walker; husband, Louis Negrilla, brother, Thomas Walker and sisters, Eva Miller and Ruth Manzke.
