Teresa Ariño Quiñanola

Teresa Arin?o Quiñanola, 90, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services 269-556-9450. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 12:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jonathan Datoy and Priest Ryan Walke officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the funeral home. Teresa was born October 15, 1926 to Geronimo and Alberta Labata Arin?o in Cebu, Philippines. She and her husband, Fruto Quiñanola, were blessed with 10 children before she became a widow at the age of 37. With God at her side, Teresa dedicated her life to her children and their education. She managed to raise them through hard work, team work and division of labor – always putting family first.  She was a strong business woman and sole proprietor of a variety store for many years before making a new home in America. She will be greatly missed by her family. Teresa is survived by her loving children Belen (Eugenio) Quiamco of the Philippines, Fruto (Jasmine) Quiñanola of Australia, Teresita (Jonathan) Datoy of Australia, Rolando Quin?anola of St. Joseph, Grace (Kenneth) Shibuya of California, Myrna (Norman) Milbrandt of St. Joseph, Naomi Opie of Australia and Dioscora (Robert) Page of Washington; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cherry, son Alexander, one sister and two brothers.
