Joanne G. Bluschke, 81, lovingly named “Qtip”, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Creation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Joanne was born September 7, 1935 in Miami, FL to Lawrence & Bernadine (Conklin) Klett. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Joanne was united in marriage to Donald Bluschke on October 16, 1954 in St. Joseph. She was employed at St. Joseph Public Schools as a cook at Washington Schools. She also worked for Sanitary Cleaners as a clerk for 25 years. Joanne had many memories with family and friends in Manistique, MI, she enjoyed reading, baking and playing cards with her Vineyard friends. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events.
Joanne is survived by her daughter Deborah (Ron) Liggett, sons Michael (Mary) Bluschke and Mark Bluschke; grandchildren, Brian (Ann Marie) Liggett, Hannah Bluschke, Colin Bluschke, and Dylan Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Brad and Tori King, Alex and Ethan Liggett, and Cecil VanAntwerp; brother Larry (Dottie) Klett; brother-in-law Bill (Adele) Bluschke; sister-in-law Carol (Ron) Bonczkowski; and many special nieces and nephews.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald and her granddaughter Jennifer Renee King.
