Danny Howard Blythe

Danny H. Blythe, 78, of Benton Harbor passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Rev. David Colp officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM, until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1956. On November 7, 1956 he joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged on November 6, 1958. On November 21, 1979 he wed Mary Ann (Scoma) Whiteside in St. Joseph. Danny worked at Bendix for 30 plus years as a parts coordinator until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Mary Ann; children Lori, Angie and Paul; Mary Ann’s children Jamye (Michael) Molloy of Benton Harbor and Mark (Cindy) Whiteside of Winchester, KY; numerous grandchildren; siblings Doris Blythe of Stevensville, Don (Linda) Blythe of Texas and Terry (Debbie) Blythe of Stevensville and numerous nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale Blythe.
