Catherine Fanslau

Catherine Fanslau, 64, of Niles, MI passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor James Whitman officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the funeral home. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1973.  On January 29, 1970 she Married Herman Fanslau in Canon City, CO. Catherine worked in the retail industry.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and loved riding her Harley Davidson. Catherine is survived by her husband Herman Fanslau of Niles, MI; son Brian (Jessica) Fanslau of Portland, OR; daughter Rachel (Kevin) Schaub of South Bend, IN; siblings Philip Thompson, Dennis (Pam) Thompson, Leonard (Sue) Thompson, Marlene Thompson, Tim Thompson, Gregory Thompson, Jeff Thompson, and Joy Stevens. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents.
