Joan's Obituary
Joan Barbara “JoJo” (Siems) Braman, of Grayling, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph, MI.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. No memorial service or visitation has been scheduled at this time. Joan, better known as “JoJo” by her close friends and family, was born in Saginaw, MI, on December 30, 1933 to Edward and Mildred (Dankers) Siems. She was a lifelong Registered Nurse, working most recently at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Michigan City, IN. She was an avid musician, playing the piano, organ, clarinet and accordion. Joan was the church organist at St. Matthew’s Church in Bridgeport, MI, as well as the first-chair clarinetist with the Georgia South University Symphony Orchestra in the mid-1970’s. She loved to travel with her husband, Ron, and visited many foreign lands and ports-of-call. Joan also enjoyed northern Michigan. She was blessed with a full life and will be missed dearly.
Joan is survived by a daughter, Christine J. Braman of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Michael (Tracy) Braman of Dowagiac, MI; brother, Kenneth (Francis) Siems of Saginaw, MI; two grandchildren Ronnie and Savannah Braman of LaPorte, IN; and nieces and nephews, Kendra (Lawne) Hillert, Greg Siems and Kelly (Josh) Lucas.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, Ronald Braman (2006) and son Ronald K. Braman (2012).
