Sandra Schlipp

Sandra “Sandy” Schlipp, 69, of Benton Harbor, MI went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. Brian Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center. Those wishing to share a memory of Sandy online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Sandy was born August 4, 1947 in Benton Harbor, MI to Robert & Hazel “Patricia” (Rife) Ott. She graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School in 1965. Sandy worked for National Foods in Benton Harbor as a cashier for many years as well as a shoe shiner for Dave Goldbaum. In her spare time she loved being out in the sun and visiting with people. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Sandy lived life her way. Sandy is survived by her sons Robert and Donald Schlipp; siblings Lyle (Kathy) Ott, Donald (Patti) Ott, Deb Brant, Cheryl (Kevin) Burch, Nancy (Tim) Hamilton, Michael (Karen) Ott, Brenda Taylor and Christopher Ott; 40 nieces and nephews; 26 great nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Glenn Kublick. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Kublick and brother-in-law Vincent Zandarski.
