Patricia Elizabeth Kelly

Patricia Elizabeth (McAtee) Kelly, 83, of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service with be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. Harold Potter officiating.  Friends may visit with the family before the service from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Riverview Cemetery. Patricia was born February 28, 1933 in Berrien Springs, MI to Ernest and Fannie (Stevens) McAtee. She married John Kelly in Dowagiac, MI on June 30, 1951. Patricia worked as a para professional for the Benton Harbor Public School System for over 25 years. She was an avid golfer, excellent cook and enjoyed celebrating the holidays.  The light of Patricia’s life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – she was very devoted to them.   Patricia is survived by her three daughters Kathy (Robert) Goetz of Coloma, MI, Candy (Randall) Hollemans of Grand Rapids, MI, and Debbie (Richard) Mead of Carmel, IN; grandchildren Robert (Wendie) Goetz of Newton, NJ, Michael Goetz of Coloma, MI, Sgt. Nicholas Mead of the Air Force (Overseas), Melissa Mead of Carmel, IN and Erik (Sarah) Humes of Byron Center, MI and Erin Wallace of Grand Rapids; great-grandchildren Quinn Bishop, Celia Bishop, Ava Mead, Noah Schelling and Marguerite Goetz; and sister-in-law Cheryl McAtee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John (Jack) Kelly; granddaughter Jessica Mead; siblings Lola Mae Newman, Betty Jane Knight and Ronald McAtee.
