Robert Ernest Griese

Robert “Bob” E. Griese, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until noon, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Bob’s name. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1962. Bob furthered his education by graduating with degrees from Western Michigan University, Michigan State University and Andrews University. Over his lifetime Bob had many careers. The one he enjoyed most was his last job teaching at Benton Harbor Charter Schools as a speech therapist. Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He loved the Lord and his church family and will be remembered as an encourager with a good sense of humor. Bob is survived by Luann Griese his lifeline and support; son Scott (Terri) Campbell of Florida; daughters Melanie (Joe) Gardner of Indiana, Sue-Ann Griese of Benton Harbor; grandchildren Nicholas and Kendall Gardner; brother Steve (Pam) Griese of Indiana; nephew Christopher Griese of Indiana; aunt Arlene Yates of Michigan; cousins Lynn (Jim) Richcreek of Michigan, Randy (Gary) Pullins of Michigan and Bonnie(Don) Fago of California. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
