Dorothy was born May 30, 1928 in Benton Harbor to Henry and Tillie (Geik) Kraklau. On November 23, 1946, Dorothy married Karl Grinewitzki in Benton Harbor. Dorothy’s love of antique dolls began when her father handmade a dollhouse for the miniature furniture she was collecting. Her passion for antique dolls and collectables grew into a life-long hobby. Dorothy became an antique doll dealer and collector, sewed doll clothes from antique clothing, and was a member of the Blossom Antique Doll Club. Dorothy also loved gardening in the spring months, spending time with her grandchildren, and being active with her church. Dorothy was a strong and loving daughter, sister, mother, grandma and friend. The Grinewitzki Family would like to thank the Woodland Terrace Senior Living Community for taking such great care of Dorothy.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Joyce Vogt of Ludington, MI and Karla (Joe) Giannola of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Lindsay, Michelle, Tracey, and Matthew Giannola, Andrew and Jimi (Katie) Russell; and great-grandchild, Scarlett Russell.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl; daughter, Sandra Russell; son-in-law, John Russell; son-in-law, Stephen Vogt; and brother, Henry Kraklau.
