Mary Ann Story

Mary Ann Story, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016  at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Bernards Catholic Church, 555 Delaware, Benton Harbor with Father Michael Rejent officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 20, 2016, with a prayer service recited at 7:30 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorial donations may made to St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Mary Ann was born on September 12, 1929, to Alfred Joseph Wedge and Esther (Klingenberg) Wedge in Benton Harbor, Michigan. On June 26, 1948, she married Robert C. Story at St. Johns Church in Benton Harbor, MI. Mary Ann ran Bingo at the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center and also loved to play all sorts of games from cards to computer games.  She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Funeral Ministry and shared her food dishes at the Rose Center when needed.  In her free time she liked to knit and watch the Chicago Cubs.  However, her favorite time was the huge family get-togethers. Mary Ann is survived by her children; Linda Mancusi, Richard Story, Jim (Vera) Story, Karen Knapp, Deb (Keith) Ward, Barb (Jim) Johnson, Sue (Greg) Weiser, Brenda (Larry) Regan, Cindy (Dale) Lexow, Bob (Tess) Story, Cheryl (Fritz) Lester, and Kathy (Joe) Faisant; brother, Al Wedge; sister, Helen Brant; 41 Grandchildren; 43 Great-grandchildren; and 2 Great-great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband, twin children David and Daniel, and grandchildren, Richie Story, Dennis Yerington, Jr., and Hope Yerington.
