Richard Vernon Pudell

Richard V. Pudell, 62, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Lakeland Medical Center – St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3713 Naomi Rd., Sodus, with Rev. Robert Duehlmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Richard was born on September 16, 1954 in St. Joseph to Richard & Josephine (Webb) Pudell. He grew up on the family farm helping his parents tend to the land and crops. Richard attended River School in Sodus and graduated from Blossomland Learning Center. He enjoyed mowing the lawn with his John Deere tractor and spending time with his family & friends. Richard was a wonderful man whom found a friend in everyone; he will be greatly missed by all. Richard is survived by his sister, Kim Gilson of Benton Harbor; niece, Amalia (Scott) Pritchard; nephew, Keith Gilson; grandnephews, Ryan Pritchard & Caleb Gilson; grandnieces, Kyra Pritchard, Keely Justus, and Kylie Pritchard; and many cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Josephine and brother, Keith Pudell.
