Bertha Zelvis, 92, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Caretel Inns in St. Joseph.
A Graveside Service will take place at Lithuanian National Cemetery, 8201 S Kean Ave, Justice, IL 60458, on Tuesday, September 6th at 11:30AM Central Standard Time. Bertha was born on November 16, 1923 in Cicero, Illinois to Peter and Kazimera (Zenkus) Zelvis. She graduated from Morton High School in Cicero, IL. Bertha loved cooking and gardening. She will be missed by all of her friends and family.
Bertha is survived by her sister-in-law Marie Zelvis; three nephews James Zelvis, Ronald Zelvis and Richard (Michele) Zelvis; great nieces and nephews Noah (Cathy) Zelvis, Jarrod (Angie) Zelvis, Ashley Zelvis, John Zelvis, Dr. Jennifer (Brian) Wilson, Michael Keith and fiancée Sheyla Doubleday; Kevin (Aggie) Zelvis; great-great-nephew Ethan Zelvis and great-great-niece Mia Keith.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Kazimera Zelvis; sister Milda and brother Algerd.
