Gena Fay Marriott

Gena Fay Marriott, 68, of Bridgman, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11 AM at First Apostolic Church, 10916 California Rd., Bridgman, with Pastor David Coban officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September, 15, 2016 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the church. Gena was born on April 16, 1948 in Augusta, AR to Gene & Dorothy (Thomas) Bishop. She was a graduate of Lakeshore High School. On June 5, 1994, she married Jonathan Marriott, of Bridgman, in Three Oaks. She was devoted to her church for 37 years and to her loving husband. Gena loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gena is survived by her husband, John; son, Michael (Megan) Gembala of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Madalyn, Mallory, and Scott Gembala, Jr.; and sisters, Judy Gabbard and Deloris Brunke. Gena was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott A. Gembala; granddaughter, Nicole Roberts; and siblings, Don & Roger Bishop, and Phyllis Harmon.
